Scrying is a way to see into the future. I challenge the supposed helpfulness of seeing into the future because it assumes that the person scrying will continue to live through the proposed events--implying they could possibly live forever. It does not matter if the viewer of my animation believes in fortune telling or not because the act of scrying is relatable. We all take part in scrying by simply imagining where we think we will be the next day. Thinking of the future rides on the assumption that you will continue to live. The medieval influences of the animation draw attention to the many ways humans try to escape death, their mortality, and how religions and cults attempt to make us believe we live forever.
